BTIA hosts Marine Conservation Training for Placencia Tour Guides
The Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) in partnership with the Placencia Tour Guide Association (PTGA) has concluded 2 workshops on marine conservation topics for tour guides in southern Stann Creek. The trainings are a part of BTIA’s pilot project: Developing the Next Generation of Marine Conservationists, co-financed by the Belize Fund for a Sustainable Future.

2nd Coconut & Corn Festival A Success
The Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) Corozal Chapter held its second annual Coconut & Corn Festival on August 3, 2024, at the Chactemal Plaza at the entrance of Corozal Town. The event kicked off with a parade featuring the Corozal Community College Marching Band, the Sarteneja LIRCS Marching Band, ESTM Ambassadors Marching Band and the Corozal Sailing Club.

BTIA Awarded Grant for Marine Conservation Project

BTIA joined other non-governmental and tourism organizations in celebrating Reef Week 2023. Reef Week 2023 was celebrated under the theme: For Health, Wealth and Pleasure, Our Reef is a Treasure! The goal of the week was to highlight the importance of the Belize Barrier Reef and to share the message that we must each do our part to protect this amazing treasure that we have been blessed with.
